I’m excited for tomorrow’s show.
Author Michael Perry is going to be here.
I’ve had his book “TRUCK” on my desk for years.
When I moved to my new desk I gathered all my books and donated them to the public library.
All of them except a Brett Favre book.. And Truck: A Love Story.
I liked the look of it. I’m a sucker for book covers. (Just like wine labels.)
I had flipped through it once, thought I’d like it, and added it to the stack. And now he’s coming!

I sent him this picture to help encourage him to accept my invitation to come on the show.

It worked. So now I’m reading frantically. Trust me, it’s no chore. He’s witty and a great storyteller.
Now I’m nervous about chatting with him. Could I possibly come up with a question he’s not tired of answering? Probably not.

And.. Right after that Jess Riley will be here. I spotted her bio on the Fox Cities Book Festival website. And then I spotted her book.

It looked REALLY familiar and then I remembered: I saw it at Target! How cool is that? A bestselling author just down the road in Oshkosh. I emailed her. She emailed back. She even likes to visit people’s book clubs. Check out her blog.

Gotta go now — lot of reading to do!
