A winter storm will hit Wisconsin Tuesday. There is a lot of moisture with this storm so heavy snow will fall in parts of the state. The big question is where will the heavy snow fall? Sunday morning computer forecasts show the rain/snow line running from west to east right through the middle of NE Wisconsin. That would mean the southern half of NE Wisconsin will see rain, while the north would get pounded with heavy wet snow. A 40 mile shift in this rain/snow line would mean huge changes to your forecast. The storm is currently off the coast of Northern California. We’ll have a much better handle on the storms strength and snow amounts on Monday. OK, so you still want snow numbers hu? This is just one computer model estimate of snow, and the forecast will most likely change, so take this with a big grain of salt! Marinette 16”, Green Bay 10”, Oshkosh 4”. Stay tuned to Fox11 News tonight at 9pm for the latest forecast.

Mostly cloudy skies and some flurries will continue this morning, then sunshine should increase this afternoon. It will be breezy today and windy tomorrow so wind chills will be a factor when heading outside. Our next storm system moves through the Upper Peninsula on Sunday and will bring light snow to the northern half of the area. Amounts look to be pretty light for Sunday with the Fox Valley seeing a showery mix of rain and snow. Another storm system moves in for Tuesday and Wednesday. This storm could cause trouble around Wisconsin with Snow, Freezing Rain, Sleet, and Rain. Stay tuned to FOX 11 as this strong late winter storm approaches.

A storm system moving into Illinois (missing Wisconsin) will be responsible for stormy weather in parts of the U.S.
Heavy snow will move into Iowa and Northern Illinois tonight dropping up to six inches of snow. Wisconsin will see relatively quiet weather. Expect breezy conditions with a dusting of snow in most areas overnight (the exception being Fond du Lac and Sheboygan counties where up to 1” will fall) . Another chance for light snow (1” or less) will move in Sunday afternoon.
Thunderstorms will erupt late today into tonight from Alabama to Ohio. Some storms will produce large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. The greatest threat for tornadoes will be in Kentucky and far southern Indiana and Ohio.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect Thursday for southern portions of the Fox11 Viewing area. The watch includes Green Lake, Fond du Lac, and Sheboygan counties; starting Thursday morning and lasting through Thursday evening. A narrow band of 6 inches of snow will occur with this storm. The exact location of that band is still somewhat uncertain. At this time the heaviest snow will fall from south central Minnesota, through NE Iowa, and into southern Wisconsin. Snow could be heavy at times impacting travel. Severe weather expert Patrick Powell will track the storm tonight on Fox11 News @ 5pm.

The trek to your ice shanty will be a cold one tomorrow. Temperatures will be near ten degrees at 6:30am, but strong WNW winds (15-20 mph) will keep chills near negative fourteen. Skies will be partly cloudy through the day. Slightly warmer and sunny conditions are expected Sunday.
