Back to the chill for Friday 01/31/14January 31st, 2014 at 4:14 am by Pete Petoniak under News, Weather
Most of our area picked up 2 to 4 inches of snow from the fast-moving system that pushed through the area yesterday. The burst of snow mid-day and strong winds resulted in whiteout conditions on the roads for a time. In Green Bay 2.6 inches of snow fell at the National Weather Service office.
We’re back to the deep freeze today with highs only topping out near 10 degrees and wind chills below zero all day. If you’re traveling south tomorrow be careful. A storm moving through the region from the southwest could bring about a half foot of snow to Chicago Saturday. Around here we may get 1 to 3 inches by tomorrow evening.
